Their services
Consonant offers free support on a wide range of topics. Their trained advisors only ask for information that will help to solve your problem, and will not share any details without your permission. They can help you with:
- Employment – careers advice, help to look and apply for work
- Health - help to access to health services (with clinics on the last Wednesday of every month)
- Activities & classes - including English classes (ESOL), computer skills and job-related training
- Counselling sessions – if you are feeling unhappy, stressed or depressed, speak to a professional confidentially (for non-urgent cases)
- Immigration legal services – their advisors are OISC accredited, which means they’re qualified to give immigration advice (you usually need to pay for their services)
- Signposting to local services, activities & events - if they can’t help you, they will direct you to an organisation who can!
Get in touch
Consonant may offer an interpreter if a volunteer is available, but this is not guaranteed:
- Ask someone who can speak English to help you call, or accompany you to an appointment
- You need to register to access their services - it’s quick, easy and free to do by completing a form online here
- Check before you visit - many organisations are running remote or limited services because of Coronavirus
